I am so excited about tonight - it's truly a DIVINE appointment!
CAYA is about imperfect women living in an imperfect world. Imperfect, according to Websters, is: 1. characterized by defects or weakness 2. (I love this one!) lacking completeness.
Since I only discovered this because I wasn't sure if it was spelled with an "in" or an "im" that describes me - incomplete and imperfect. And can I just say - AMEN!
This realization does not mean that we throw up our hands in defeat and give up. Quite the opposite, it arms us with the truth. And through acceptance of the truth there is great freedom! We can take off the mask we wear every day out of fear, insecurity, pain and/or jealousy and be free to be the woman God created us to be!
CAYA is a place to begin that journey with other women of any Jesus following church. We were never meant to do it alone so come experience what we hope is true sisterhood in Christ. We are only complete when we surrender to the one who is perfect - God our Father.
I love the Hebrew word Shalom, it means the perfect peace of God. And when you break down the translation even more it means nothing broken - nothing missing. HE is our perfect, HE is our complete in every way.
If your mask is getting too tight, join us as we begin to study why we have them and how to take them off. In the coming weeks we will even be looking at different makes (i.e. Miss Perfect, Miss Confident, Miss Spirituality).

Come On Tammy!

In the meantime: Come As You Are takes place every first Thursday of the month at 6:30 at Tammy's house.
Come As You Are is an independent (not attached to one church) group led by Tammy Switzer. It is a time of ministry. It is a time for connection. And it is a time to just come as you are. Broken? Whole? Content? Lacking? Committed Christian? Frustrated follower? Everyone is welcome and God is always present!
